Rick’s Automotive has been serving Woodstock and the surrounding Oxford County communities since 2006 — that’s 20 years on the road with our neighbours in 2026. Reaching two decades is no small thing for an independent garage, and we’re proud of it. What started as a local shop has grown into a fully-staffed four-bay garage — but the way we do business hasn’t changed. We’re still locally owned, still down the road on Ingersoll Road, and still built on one simple idea: tell people the truth about their vehicle and do the work right the first time.
We know that for most people, a car isn’t a luxury — it’s how life happens. That’s why every appointment gets the same care, whether it’s a routine oil change or a major repair. We diagnose accurately, explain what we find in language that makes sense, and never push work you don’t need. When we do recommend a repair, we’ll walk you through why it matters and what it’ll cost before we pick up a wrench.
Our technicians work on everything foreign and domestic — from European imports like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi to the trucks and family vehicles that fill Woodstock driveways. We keep up with the latest in automotive technology and training so we can service newer systems the way they’re meant to be serviced, and we back our work with the quality parts we’d put in our own vehicles.
Where we are, and who we serve
The shop is at 105 Ingersoll Road in Woodstock, a couple of minutes off Dundas Street and easy to reach from the 401 and the 403. Most of our customers are from Woodstock itself, but a good share drive in from across Oxford County — Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Norwich, Tavistock, Embro, Innerkip, Thamesford, Beachville, Princeton and Drumbo — because it’s worth the fifteen minutes to deal with a shop they trust. If you’re coming from Ingersoll or Tillsonburg, we’re a few minutes off the 401, and we’ll do our best to book around your drive.
What we do
We’re a full-service mechanical repair shop for all makes and models: oil changes and scheduled maintenance, brakes, tires, engine diagnostics, steering and suspension, transmission service, electrical and batteries, exhaust, air conditioning, cooling systems, and safety and pre-purchase inspections as a licensed DriveON inspection centre. How we work
Bring it in, tell us what you’ve noticed, and we’ll look at the whole thing rather than just the part that’s making noise. You get a plain explanation of what we found, what needs doing now, what can wait, and what each costs — before any work starts. If something is fine, we’ll say it’s fine. We’d rather you come back next time than feel sold to. Our car care guides are written the same way: the advice we’d give a neighbour, without the jargon.
